Charity mention

‘Charity Mention’ is an idea I had some years ago, when it was rumoured that the, then, new lotteries charity board, would have an adverse affect on charity donations by the public.

My idea was - and still is - quite simple. If you have a web site - or know some one who has - then give a mention to one or more charities on your site. It may be local to you, national or even international. It doesn’t matter who. If you support ‘SAVE THE LESSER SPOTTED, MARSH, SPONGLE MURSLE’ or ‘CANCER RESEARCH’. Just give them a mention on your site, with any contact details.
If everyone in the world, with a web site, (hundreds of millions of sites) gave just one mention to one charity, and if just a fraction of those web sites, generated a donation , then it would raise billions of pounds around the world and what has it cost the web master?

So come on all you webmasters, mention at least one charity, or worthy cause, somewhere on your site and if you place one of the logos, which can be found at the bottom of the screen, somewhere on your site then it will be recognized as a ‘charitable one’. You can copy the logo, by right clicking on either of the ‘CHARITY MENTION’ logos below and then clicking ‘save picture as’.

Apart from mentioning your own pet national charity, why not find out who is trying to raise money nearer your home? I’m sure they would also be only too happy to furnish you with information you could add to your web site.
